On Thursday, July 3, 2014, Hastings Ford Lincoln wrapped up their 2nd Annual Military Appreciation Event. From May 9th to July 3rd, Hastings Ford Lincoln pledged $25 per vehicle sold to help fund a local veteran's cause.
Throughout the event, Hastings Ford Lincoln encouraged the public to nominate a local veteran. Two finalists were selected; Mr. Gerald Carpenter of Superior, Nebraska (U.S. Air Force) and Mr. Ernest Johnson of Hastings, Nebraska (U.S. Army). Each finalist was presented with a cash prize and a personalized flag display case.
The remaining funds raised will be placed for next year to fund a scholarship for students with military ties.
